Mr. Crissman joined Prism Capital in 2002 as a Founder and Partner of PMF I’s general partner.  He has more than 20 years of experience financing and investing in middle market companies. Mr. Crissman's responsibilities include deal origination, underwriting, closing and managing investments.  He also maintains board responsibility for several of PMF I’s portfolio companies including Optical Experts Manufacturing, VIA, Fusion Specialties, and Violet Packing.

Prior to joining Prism, Mr. Crissman was a principal with Bank of America Capital Investors, a mezzanine debt and equity investing partnership funded by Bank of America. Prior to joining Bank of America Capital Investors, he worked in BancAmerica Securities High Yield Group where he was involved in sourcing and underwriting public subordinated debt offerings. Prior to Bank of America, Mr. Crissman was a Vice President with First Bank Systems.  Mr. Crissman is the former President of the Midwest Regional Association of SBICs and is a founding member of the Private Equity Advisory Board at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University.  Mr. Crissman received an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a BA in Economics and Finance from Augustana College.

Mr. Finkel is the Founder and Managing Partner of Prism Capital. He has been investing in the Chicago private equity community for over 20 years. Mr. Finkel has overseen PMF I investments into 25 companies as well as POF deployments into 14 portfolio companies. He served on the board of Penn-Wheeling Closure and currently serves on the boards of Artromick International and SterilMed Holdings.

Previously, Mr. Finkel was an Investment Manager at Wind Point Partners where he invested in early, growth and later stage companies. Before starting his career in private equity, he was a Corporate Associate specializing in mergers and acquisitions with Paine Webber. Additionally, Mr. Finkel is a founder and former Chairman of the Illinois Venture Capital Association, from which he received the prestigious Fellows Award in 2005.  He was selected to serve on the Illinois State Treasurer's Technology Fund of Funds Review Board and serves on the boards of The Bulletin of Atomic Scientists and Chicago Junior Achievement.   He received an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business and a BA in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Johns Hopkins University. 

Mr. Finkel is the author of The Masters of Private Equity and Venture Capital, a McGraw Hill Business Book, tentatively scheduled for publication in the fall of 2009.

 
       
 
 

Mr. Harlan joined Prism Capital in 2004 as a Partner of PMF I’s general partner. He has over 20 years of experience financing and investing in middle market companies. He is active in deal origination, underwriting, closing and managing investments. Additionally, Mr. Harlan maintains board responsibility for several of PMF I’s portfolio companies including Braxton-Bragg Corporation, 3-D Machining, Craftsmen Industries, Bell Automotive Products, and McCoy Sales Corporation.

Prior to Prism, Mr. Harlan headed the Chicago office of Golub Associates Incorporated (now known as Golub Capital), a provider of subordinated debt and equity to middle market companies. Prior to joining Golub, he was a principal with CID Equity Partners, a Midwest-based private investment firm with mezzanine and equity funds. Prior to CID, he helped form ANB Mezzanine Corporation (predecessor to Chase Mezzanine). Mr. Harlan began his career at American National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago and held positions in the workout and commercial banking groups. Mr. Harlan is a board member of the Chicago chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and a co-founder of the University of Notre Dame Finance Conference. He also serves on the Museum of Science and Industry President's Council and is the Board President of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School’s Advisory Board. Mr. Harlan received an MBA from the University of Chicago and holds a BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Notre Dame

 
       
 
 

Mr. Hoesley joined Prism Capital in 2001 and became a Partner of POF’s general partner in 2005 and of PMF I’s general partner in 2006. He is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, executing, and monitoring investments.  As a partner in POF, Mr. Hoesley serves on the boards of SterilMed Holdings, ISD Holdings, Trustwave and Celleration. 

Prior to joining Prism, Mr. Hoesley served as the Chief Financial Officer of Legato Partners, LLC, where he led the successful effort to restart two divisions of Foster & Gallagher, Inc., a leading direct marketing company focused on horticultural products, as part of its Chapter 11 reorganization. Mr. Hoesley was also the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of eVincio Corporation, a provider of enterprise-class content management software. Prior to eVincio, he spent four years at Credit Suisse First Boston, where he specialized in financings for international and technology businesses.  Mr. Hoesley is a member of the Board of Directors of the Illinois Venture Capital Association, the Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of the IMSA Fund for the Advancement of Education, a member of Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy’s President’s Alumni Advisory Council and a member of the Midwest Healthcare Investors Network. Additionally, he was previously Co-Chair of the Entrepreneurship Committee and co-President of the Kellogg Alumni Club of Chicago. Mr. Hoesley received an MBA from J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS in Chemistry from the University of Illinois.

Mr. Vivian joined Prism Capital in 1999 and became a Partner in POF’s and PMF I’s general partners in 2003.  Mr. Vivian has over 12 years of experience investing in and lending to middle market companies, and he has been integral in structuring, negotiating and monitoring investments in both POF and PMF I.  He was an active member on the boards of Fitzroy Dearborn Publishing, and ClearSource and is an observer on behalf of Prism on the boards of Banner Holdings, Fieldglass, and Newser. 

Prior to joining Prism, Mr. Vivian was an associate in BancAmerica Securities’ leveraged finance group serving as both a senior lender and investment banker for the placement of subordinated debt. In this role, he evaluated, structured, negotiated and executed senior loans for the bank’s portfolio as well as syndicating bank loans and raising high yield bonds.  Prior to joining BancAmerica, he was a territory manager for Parker Hannifin Corporation. Additionally, Mr. Vivian is the immediate past Chairman of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies (NASBIC) and has also served as the President of the Midwest Regional Association of SBICs.  He currently serves on the Institutional Investor and PAC Committees for the Illinois Venture Capital Association.  Mr. Vivian received both an MBA and a BS in General Engineering from the University of Illinois.

 
 
 
 

Mr. Lump joined Prism in 2005, and is responsible for all accounting and financial reporting functions. Previously he was a Senior Manager with Ernst & Young in the Chicago office and most recently worked on strategic and operational initiatives for Ernst & Young's global Transaction Advisory Services practice. Prior to this role, Mr. Lump provided financial due diligence services to private equity and corporate buyers in various industries including distribution, manufacturing, and retail. Mr. Lump began his career at Ernst & Young as an auditor in both the Chicago and London offices. He received a Bachelors degree from DePaul University, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

 
       
   
 

Mr. Lopez joined Prism Capital in 2007 as an analyst. He is responsible for assisting in sourcing, evaluating, executing and monitoring investments. Prior to joining Prism, Mr. Lopez was an associate with SunTrust Robinson Humphrey’s syndicated and leveraged finance group where he was actively involved in structuring and syndicating senior credit facilities. Mr. Lopez began his career as a portfolio manager with SunTrust Banks’ corporate banking division where he managed a portfolio consisting of major food and restaurant companies.

Mr. Lopez received a BBA in Finance and Accounting from Emory University and holds a NASD Series 7 license.

 
       
   
 
Ms. Johns joined Prism in 2003 and is a Business Development Analyst. Her duties include maintaining the fundraising portion of the firm database, coordinating marketing materials and projects, researching various market trends and activities, and acting as investor relations liaison to potential and current limited partners. Additionally, Ms. Johns is Director of Donor Relations of the Keep On Keeping On Foundation, a non-profit organization created to assist and support individuals born with severe physical disabilities. Ms. Johns holds a BFA from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, where she was a member of the Roosevelt Scholars Program and of the Franklin Honor Society.

Prior to joining Prism in 2006, Ms. Collins held a variety of jobs including working as a sales associate for Brooks Brothers, managing the office of Redmoon Theater Company, and teaching English as a foreign language in Bangkok, Thailand. Her primary responsibilities at Prism include event planning, marketing, graphic design and maintaining the company's website as well as providing administrative support. Ms. Collins holds a BFA in scenic design from The Theatre School at DePaul University and her design work can occasionally be seen on the stages of Chicago’s store-front theatres.

Ms. Belcher joined Prism in 2008 and is an Executive Assistant. Prior to joining Prism, Ms. Belcher worked as an Academic Advisor at the UIC Liautaud Graduate School of Business and as the Assistant Director of Student Activities at Bellarmine University in Louisville, KY. Ms. Belcher is responsible for providing administrative support to Prism's Managing Partner and other executives. She also coordinates events, meetings and special projects and manages the company database. Ms. Belcher holds a BS and MA from the University of Louisville.
